Our company PYROS was born out of passion – the passion for fireworks!
At the beginning, fireworks were a part-time occupation for us, starting with the organization of local displays in cooperation with friends an colleagues. This was in the 90s and we started to get our first experiences and work with fireworks on a professional level.
In time our own wishes and demands grew larger, both on how we imagined our displays to be and on the material we were using. We started to imagine and design new effects that we got custom-made for us sometimes at some manufacturers on small scale.
Besides that we wanted to know more about manufacturing operations and thus wanted to learn for ourself a at this time in Germany already very rare craft.
The quest and search for that was not without problems – only very few manufacturing companies were willing to manufacture special products for us, let alone to give us more insight into the fine details of their operation. So our search led us to other countries as well, to Malta, Spain, the USA and most frequently to Italy.
Over the time the convidence and trust between us and the pyrotechnists in these countries grew larger and we were finally able to learn that rare craft that was always close to our hearts. Nowadays, many years later, we can call all of those people, strangers at first, very good friends – and not without pride! The fascination for fireworks had once again united people regardless of borders and cultural backgrounds.

In talking with other colleagues it became clear quite fast that those were in the need and in the search for something special as well, for something to make their own firework displays unique and stand apart from the broader mass.
This is now exactly the background of our company – we want to provide the many colleagues and friends that special something that makes their creations more unique, be it as a product, a special firework piece, as a service or as a source for information and inspiration.
We are trying hard to bring together all that for what we have looked for in one place. It is our endeavour to show and sometimes introduce all the different firework cultures and specialities from that many countries which we fell in love with over the years too.

Fireworks are living out of variety, from the interaction of many parts, from overwhelming moment and grandiose beauty – it is our believe that the colour-palette at the fingertips of a painter of the night sky should therefor be as big as possible!
